STAGE 3 - Burnham Overy to Wells-Next-The-Sea: Distance 5.76 miles

3a. From the start (TF 634 211) Follow Burnham Overy Staithe bank on the upper level for 1.2 miles.
3b. On reaching the broadwalk continue along it towards the beach. ⚠ Take care when crossing wooden boards which may be slippery or damaged.
3c. On reaching the end of the broadwalk continue straight ahead for 300 metres over the dune and on to the beach and turn right, keeping the dunes on your right.
3d. Continue along the beach for 1.2 miles until reaching the end of the roped off area (for nesting birds) and a sign for the naturist beach (side on).
3e. Turn right onto a distinct path between two wooden fences for 325 metres through the dunes and into the wood. ⚠ Beware of trip hazards from exposed tree roots which may protrude and be slippery.
3f. Continue straight along the path (ignoring the unmarked crossing of paths) until meeting a major five track junction with a signpost. Turn left, signed 'Lady Anne Drive 1m'. ⚠ Beware of trip hazards from exposed tree roots which may protrude and be slippery.
3g. At any track junction before Lady Anne Drive (access point) keep straight ahead.
3h. At the junction with Lady Anne Drive (TF 890 448) go straight over following the Coastal Path sign. Do not follow the broadwalk or go down the tarmac driveway. Keep the Visitors Centre to your right (1.7 miles to the change over).
3i. Continue along this footpath for 1.5 miles until reaching the start of the caravan camp area ahead (TF 908 453), bear left and continue for 400 metres.
3j. At the next track junction (TF 911 455) turn right to leave the boating lake on your right. Go through the gate and take the path to the left in the trees, running parallel with the carpark, for 200 metres.
3k. < Leave the path past the side of the cafe and turn left through the cafe seating area and bear left up the ramp. ⚠ Beware of moving vehicles in the car park.
3l. At the top of the ramp turn right towards Wells. Changeover (TF 915 455) is 50 metres ahead, adjacent to the concrete steps.
